Admissions

Getting into sober living should not be the hard part.

One call starts it. We listen, answer every question, and if Grassroot is the right fit, we plan a move-in with you, your family and your care team.

The process

  1. Step 01

    The first call

A real conversation with someone in recovery. Where things stand, what has been tried, what you are hoping for.

  2. Step 02

    The fit conversation

We talk with the prospective resident directly, and with their clinicians if they want us to, to make sure the program fits.

  3. Step 03

    The plan

A move-in date, the cost in writing, the move-in checklist and how family updates will work.

  4. Step 04

    Move-in day

Your case manager meets you, walks you through the house and the expectations, and your first week is mapped out.

FAQ

Admissions questions

Who can start the admissions process?

Anyone. Most calls come from parents and family members, from therapists, case managers and treatment centers planning discharge, or from the person who wants to move in. We will include whoever needs to be part of the conversation.

Do I need to have completed a treatment program first?

Many residents come to us directly from residential or inpatient treatment. If you have not been through treatment, call anyway. We will talk honestly about whether sober living, coaching or a higher level of care is the right next step.

What should I bring on move-in day?

We send a move-in checklist once a date is set. It covers clothing and bedding, any prescriptions in their original pharmacy containers, ID and insurance cards, and contact details for your clinicians.

Can we tour the house first?

Yes. Ask about a visit or a video walkthrough on your first call. We share the exact address once a move-in is being planned, to protect residents' privacy.
