Phase 1
You don’t have to have it figured out yet.
Whether you’re coming from treatment, referred by a therapist or case manager, or arriving because a family member made the call — we meet you where you are. From day one, you have a team around you and a home that takes recovery seriously.
Phase 2
A program built around accountability and routine.
Daily breathalyzers, medication oversight, money management support, and a weekly house meeting create the accountability structure that early recovery requires. Our team doesn’t manage from a distance — they’re in it with you.
Phase 3
Recovery is something we do together.
The Wednesday Night Meeting. House activities. Wellness programming. Meals together. The relationships built inside Grassroot don’t end when someone moves out — they become the network and friendships that hold this community together.
Phase 4
The goal was always a life of your own.
As you grow in your recovery, the focus shifts to building a real life in New York City — career, relationships, routine. Our team supports that transition the whole way through.
Phase 5
Grassroot doesn’t end when you leave.
Our alumni community is one of the most important things we’ve built. Alumni come back for Wednesday Night Meetings, stay connected to the community, and become part of the culture the next resident walks into. Nearly all of our residents who leave the house stay connected through our alumni program.
